Scarecrow Trail 2026
Supported by Dirleton Fete & Games and Dirleton Market on the Green, this year’s Scarecrow Competition will run for 3 weeks
Key Dates are:
- Scarecrows completed and displayed: from 14th September
- Judging: 17th or 18th September
- Scarecrows taken down: by 5th October
Prizes will be awarded across the following 3 categories:
- Best Traditional or Harvest Scarecrows
- Best Monster or Scary Scarecrows
- The Scarecrows that Made the Judges Smile the Most
To support local retailers, all prizes will be North Berwick High Street
Vouchers (per catgegory):
- £10 for 1st prize,
- two runner up prizes of £5.
All children who enter will also get a goodie bag.
This year prizes and goodie bags will be handed out at the Dirleton Autumn
Harvest Market on Sunday 20th September.
To enter, please email contact@mirandamayes.com with your name,
whether the scarecrow is being made by a child/children or an adult,
names & ages of participating children, your address if you intend
displaying your scarecrow in your garden, or a request to display it
on a bench if not.
